Fibroblast Growth Factor Basic (FGF2)

FGF2, also referred to as basic FGF, is a growth factor primarily synthesized in fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and smooth muscle cells. The FGF2 family of myokines consists of 23 signalling proteins that interact with 4 different FGF receptors. These protein-protein signalling interactions contribute to the regulation of cellular proliferation, differentiation, tissue, development, angiogenesis, and wound healing.

Immobazyme's recombinant FGF2 is produced in E. Coli and purified using immobilised metal ion affinity chromatography.
